Trip to the Zoo

The kids and I went to the Houston Zoo this past Monday. It was free admission in honor of Martin Luther King Day. There were so many people there; the parking lots were full and the traffic was nothing new to us.

Two of my kids were having a good time while the other two decided to have a problem with the crowd and being hungry/tired/bored. I went back and forth between the four - having fun with two while getting onto the other two. :/

Nonetheless, I had my camera with me and took pictures of them - whether they wanted me to or not.

MK Makeovers

On Saturday, December 12, my aunt invited to an Event she was hosting as a Mary Kay consultant. She hired me to photograph the ladies before and after their makeovers.

I had such a wonderful time with them and photographing their transformations. My favorite part of the day was photographing them, showing them their photos, and watching their faces light up when they saw how beautiful they looked.

The photos I am attaching are of my mom. I love her dearly and she although she does not like being photographed she loved these that I took of her.

So here goes...

I'm trying to set up this blog and see how it's going to work out for me. So far, blogger has been much easier to use than wordpress was, but we'll see how it goes.

Right now I am playing with the fonts, the colors, and the pictures. I don't know I couldn't get my flickr photosteam to show up here. (If you look, it has the address and the title of the photos, but the photos themselves are no where to be found.)

My purpose for starting this blog is to document my life as it happens as well as posting the photos I have taken of my family and friends. I am heading more and more into doing this professionally, and am excited to see where I will go with this...
